Memphis Monroe The Shrine Building pajama
66 Monroe Avenue, Memphis. Built in 1923 as the HQ of the Fraternal Al Chymia Shrine temple. The Temple began on the ninth floor (a billiard room) with offices below. The 10th-11th Floor was an auditorium with a library and lounge above and a top floor restaurant. The Shriners moved out in 1936 after failing to meet mortgage payments during the Depression and it was converted to apartments in 1976.
